Mountain longrifle

This rifle is a fairly crude example, made cheaply in the backwoods. It may lack refinement, but it served its owner well.

Colonists adapted the technology of the German Jager rifle to create the Pennsylvania longrifle. It served well as a special frontier hunting gun. Powerful and highly accurate in the hands of a skilled shooter, it was perfect for hunting medium to large game.

The small caliber and precision of the longrifle allowed shooters to use ammunition very effectively.
